VINNAI THAANDI VARUVAYA IN BOLLYWOOD

Gautham Vasudeva Menon is talking to a leading production house in Mumbai to do the Hindi remake of his sensational super hit Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya.

Sources close to the production house say that they are trying to rope in Ranbir Kapoor to do the role done by Silambarassan in the Tamil original.

Remember Mani Ratnam is trying to convince Ranbir to do his next film Azaan, though the actor is playing hard to get. But Ranbir has shown an interest in VTV remake. The reason for his interest is that the subject will suit Hindi nativity.

A spokesperson of the production house said: “ VTV subject is ideal for a Hindi remake as instead of the boy going to Kerala in search of his love, we can show a Mumbai Hindu boy falling for a Goan Christian girl and going to Goa and with AR Rahman’s music it has great potential if Ranbir does the male lead.
